Thirty-five years after coming to power of the Islamic government which had promised to free electricity, water and housing (Referring to Ayatollah Khomeini’s speech arrival in Behesht-e Zahra Cemetery of Iran in 1979) it seen the shocking images of cities of Iran and Kurdistan in these days and that is the long lines of people trying to get their food basket by yelling and begging under extreme cold and snow.
Free distribution of the basket of goods among the poor classes started from January this year in Iran, so it is estimated that 15 million people are included in the plan that has been implemented by the government of Hassan Rouhani.

Minimum wage in Iran is 487 thousand tomans in 2014 and this has led to food aid that contains 10 kg rice, 4 kg chicken, two shoulders eggs of twelve pieces, vegetable oil, 800 grams of cheese does not belong to many low-income individuals.
“Some of the items promised in the free food baskets not available also health of some foods is suspicious. The distribution of Indian rice among the people, government suggests that rather than thinking about social health, is thought to feed”. A citizen of Urmiya declared in an interview with Fars News Agency.
From second period of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad were paid monthly subsides to all Iranian citizens. But Rouhani administration says this way cannot continue and wants to change it.
Country like Iran which has benefited from the inherent wealth, now in the result of 35 years of religious rule has reached a stage where people have become beggars, poor and receiver of governmental alms.

Following the chaos that occurred in all the major cities in Iran and Kurdistan after starting the plan of food basket distribution, the head of Iranian Parliament Ali Larijani called Rouhani State to give food aid to all needy of Iran not just a particular class.
The actual handout of food led to large queues and chaotic scenes, images of which were shared on social media.
This led the President apologize to the Iranian people in his speech, which was broadcast live on TV in the last week.
Fars News Agency the organ of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards wrote in a detailed report entitled “Iran’s international image behind a long line of goods basket”: Centralized distribution of goods to individuals creates long lines and ugly scenes apart from disrupting in normal process of country and paralyze the government agencies at the time of distribution.
Iranian media have written in the report: contrary to what the president has said about maintaining dignity and respect for people, distribution operators of free food basket have abusive behavior by people who were standing for long hours under the rain and snow.
