EAST KURDISTAN, — The systematic attacks against Kurdish Kolbers (back carriers) and tradesmen in border areas of Eastern Kurdistan are continuing by Iranian security forces. On 2th January Iranian security forces attacked Kurdish Kolbers around the city of Serdesht, and killed 100 of their Mules and seized their goods.
Ahmed Shaheed, the UN Special Rapporteur on human rights in Iran in his report in March 2012, for the first time expressed his concern about the systematic killing of Kolbars (back carriers) and condemned these extrajudicial killings.
