While the first anniversary of Massacre of Roboski just passed, those are responsible were not brought to justice.
In spite of numerous protests by Kurdish people, but evidences show the Turkish government´s intent to cover up this heinous crime and to prevent to prosecute those responsible for the crime.
In reaction, Kurdish political parties harshly criticize the efforts of Turkish government in covering up this crime.
On 28 December 2011, the Turkish fighter jets raided village of Roboski and killed 34 Kurdish civilians, most of them belonged to the same extended family.
Despite, passing one year from this crime, the Turkish government has not made any efforts in disclosing details of the crime. Thus, Kurdish political parties in Northern Kurdistan harshly criticize the position of Turkish government about this issue.
Sînan Çîftyurek, the leader of Socialism and Freedom party in a statement about the Roboski massacre said, the massacre of Roboski had a message for the entire Kurdish nation; with this massacre the Turkish government declared to the Kurdish people that this is a warning for you to abandon your demands for democratic self-rule, federation or independence in Kurdistan.
Çîftyurek, in his statement noted that despite the efforts of Turkish government in hiding this crime, all the eyes of international community have stared to the Roboski.
In addition, Lutfû Baksî, vice president of KADEP said, from the establishment of the Turkish Republic until now, Turkey has suppressed the liberation movements of Kurds by committing massacres, and the Roboski massacre was one of the many other crimes against Kurdish nation.
Baksi, by stating that Turkey has shown its real face in Roboski massacre, said, those responsible of this crime must be prosecuted at the international level.
Furthermore, Zûbeyde Zûmrût, a head of Peace and Democracy party in the city of Amed said in a statement, the Turkish government even did not apologize to the victim´s family, in fact, Turkish government have not apologized for all the past massacres that committed against Kurds.
Zumrut reminded that even before the Roboski massacre, in Çelê region a massacre was committed but those responsible were never held accountable.
