AMED, — International Human Rights Week (10-17 December) will be organized by six non-governmental organizations in Amed (Diyarbakir), ANF reports.
The importance of human rights and freedom will be emphasized with documentaries, panels and seminars which will take place during the week. “Right to Life” will be the lead theme of the events which will start with a march and press conference today.
The activities by IHD (Human Rights Association) Amed branch, MAZLUMDER, TIHV (Human Rights Foundation of Turkey), Amed Bar Association and Chamber of Doctors will be joined by all NGOs and people in the city.
The march at 12:00 local time will be followed by a press conference in front of Human Rights Monument. A photograph exhibition on the “Right to Life” will also be opened today.
Documentary on the Roboski Massacre, “Don’t cry mum, I am somewhere good” will also be shown on 11 December. “Murdered by the State” film is also among the documentaries to be displayed during the week.
