PJAK: The hunger strike a historic move for self-determination of Kurds

NEWSDESK, — In a written statement published on yesterday, Kurdistan Free Life Party (PJAK) manifest its full backing for the Kurdish hunger strikers in Turkey and regards the fast as historic while it called upon the Kurds particularly the people of East Kurdistan to participate in this revolutionary phase.

The unique and heroic resistance of the hunger strikers for the freedom of Leader Apo and the recognition of Kurdish language, outlined PJAK statement, is an altruistic and revolutionary step against the policies of denying.

Pointing to the current state of affairs and the orchestrated efforts put by the international powers for the formation of new orders in the Middle East the statement note; The Middle East is entangled in a serious crisis and the Kurdish people in all parts of Kurdistan are in unique campaigns. Although the Kurdish people have sacrificed a great deal in their struggle for free life, the occupying powers are not prepared to take the simplest measures to realise their most natural and basic rights. They have attacked the Kurds with fascist and militaristic measures and continue to kill them on the large scales instead.

Describing the fast as historic in which the Kurdish prisoners have risked their lives the statement remarks; we are in the 56th day of the hunger strike, we as the Free Life Party of Kurdistan (PJAK) send our greetings to our comrades in Turkey’s prisons and regard their fast as a historic step in the path to self-determination of Kurds. Demands of the hunger strikers are of those of the Kurdish people, they are democratic.

At the end of the statement PJAK calls on the Kurdish people to stand up for the hunger strikers. “We as PJAK call upon on our nation particularly our people in East Kurdistan to join the phase of liberty- and-democracy-seeking with their unified stance and activities in order to release Leader Apo and themselves.”
