NEWSDESK, — The Yutelsat Company has rescinded contract with 19 Iranian channels to broadcast from Hotbird. The Iranian regime has condemned the move as against the free press and publication standards.
The Islamic Republic condemnation of Yutlsat act comes amid the state’s purge initiated by the Security Forces to collect the satellite dishes in East Kurdistan.
The Security Forces have embarked on a widespread collection of satellite dishes in Meriwan to prevent the flow of information provided by the satellites channels.
They burst into the local houses, the eye witnesses reported, without permissions from the residents collecting the dishes while degrading and humiliating the owners.
When Yutlsat rescinded contracts with the Iranian TVs, the Iranian regime condemned such an act against the principles of free press. They threatened to open cases against Yutelsat.
This is happened while Iran does not allow the people to receive informations about outside world provided by the satellites.
To prevent people from the flow of information, the state agents burst into the houses of people who own the satellites and forcefully collect the dishes.
