SINE, — Pressures and intimidation of the Iranian authorities against Kurds continue in East Kurdistan. For the last three months two political activists have been held incommunicado by the Security Forces, local sources said.
Emin Meleki from Eranshar district of Seqiz city and Wirya Ceeferi from Sine were arrested 3 months ago and held incommunicado ever since.
Family visits have not been allowed and no news about their current state is yet given out by the prison officials.
It should be added that the charge held against these prisoners are said to be their affiliation with Kurdish political dissent groups and are both held in Sine prison.
Political activists and dissent individuals are regarded as “God’s enemy” by the Islamic Republic and they do often charged with Mohareb which means “enmity with God” whose verdict ranges from long imprisonment to execution.
