A kolber shot dead while on the struggle to make the living

SERDESHT, — The shooting and killing of Kurdish kolbers have become a daily practice of Iranian security forces. Another Kolber was killed by the direct shot of the border guards.

Kolbers are those workers who carry goods such as sugar, tea and crystal, on their backs across the pseudo-borders of Kurdistan to make living for the families.

According to local sources Hesen Ibrahim Xizri 30 years old, resident of Dadway village of Serdesht city was shot and hilled by the Iranian security forces.

The witnesses observed that the victim had only package of clothes on his back, when he was gunned down by the security forces.

This killing comes after another instance few days ago when the security forces killed two other kolbers from Serdesht city named as Rigar Genman and Mehmud Diwelan.

In the meantime two other kolbers were also seriously wounded.

26 kolbers killed in 2012

According to figures published by Firat News Agency, the Iranian border guards have killed 26 kolbers on the pseudo-borders of Kurdistan in 2012.

114 kolbers were killed in 2011

In the first 9 months of 2012 more than 80 kolbers were killed by both Turkish soldiers and the IRGC, while 60 more were wounded. In the following 3 months, the IRGC had killed 28 kolbers. Turkish warplanes massacred 34 Kurdish kolbers in Roboski village. Altogether 114 kolbers were killed in 2011.

 

68 kolber were killed in 2010

According to ANF figures 68 kolbers had been killed on the Turkey and Iranian borders and dozens more had been wounded or disabled. Furthermore 90 kolbers had been killed in 2009.
