NEWSDESK, — Salih Mulsim the co-leader of Democratic Union Party (PYD) has reacted strongly to Turkish Premier’s threat of intervention in West Kurdistan. Any possible attack would turn into a swamp from which they cannot survive, he said.
“The statement of Turkish premier would not be accepted and they are inappropriate. Erdogan himself said he is in favour of democracy and freedom for the Syrian people; this is what we also want. If he is serious in this respect, why he excludes the Kurds,” said Muslim.
The co-leader of PYD stressed that there is not a single PKK fighter in the region. “Erdogan is looking for pretext to interfere in the internal affair of Syria. He wants to annihilate the Kurds or prevent them from achieving their rights,” he added.
In regard to Turkey’s intervention he said such a deed is impossible. “The international balance,” said Muslim “is not appropriate for such a venture. That would be a maniac. Turkey would be stuck in a swamp from which it cannot survive. Neither the West nor the Arabian states would permit such an intervention,” he ended.
