BANDARABBAS, Iran, — Mensur Mohemmedi a Kurdish political prisoner held in Bandar-Abbas prison has been on hunger strike for the last 16 days and he is suffering from kidney problems.
Mensur Mohemmedi 58 years old from Sine (Sanandaj) city who was transferred to Bandar Abbas prison four years ago, is suffering from Asthma, kidney and eyes problems and the prison officials have failed to provide him with treatments.
Despite being a prisoner of conscious, Mr Mohemmedi is held with the prisoners charged with crime or anti-social behaviours, reported the local sources.
It was also reported that this is the second time Mr. Mohemmedi is being sentenced for his political and civil activism. First time he was sentenced to three years, which he had completed.
The reason for his huger strike he launched 16 days ago is not reported yet.
