BEHDINAN, — People’s Defense Forces Press Office HPG-BIM released a statement on the recent military operations occurred on 10-12 June. It was announced that 16 Turkish soldiers had been killed and 9 others were wounded during the clashes in Şemdinli, Çele and Beytuşşebap.
One soldier was killed and one other was wounded in Şabana region of Şirnex on 10 June. The Turkish army operation and clashes expanded on 11 June when three soldiers died and one other was wounded in the operation in Gire Goniyê, Gire Kerkûl and Meydan Zengîlê area, reported HPG-BIM.
Five soldiers died and four were wounded in separate clashes that broke out as a result of an operation by soldiers from the Girana military post in Şemdinli district of Colemerg (Hakkari) on 12 June, noted the statement and added that four out of five dead soldiers were specialist sergeants.
The statement also reported that three guerrillas lost their life in an operation in Çele district of Colemerg on 10 June. The names of three guerrillas were reported to be Viyan Cudi code named Xece Brukimilan, Zerin Zilan code named Besra Delayimilan and Mazlum Amed code named Ayetullah Kandemir.
The operation in the area was followed by a guerrilla action which targeted a special military unit taking part in the operation, reported HPG-BIM and added that six soldiers died and three others were wounded in the action.
Separate clashes broke out near Karataş military post in Çele where one soldier was wounded on 12 June, stated HPG-BIM and noted that the villages of Erbîş, Şifreza and Cennetê in Zap region were targeted by Turkish army with howitzers and mortal bombs.
On the other hand, four soldiers were wounded in clashes on the mountain of Kato near Beytuşşebap district of Şirnex on 13 June.
