NEWSDESK, — Perinaz Heseni the wife of Sediq Kebudwend raised concern about the life of his spouse in an interview with Newroz TV, adding he has been on hunger strike for the last 11 days.
Perinaz Heseni said while Mr. Kebudwend has been on hunger strike for the last 11 days she has not visited him for a week and learned from the media outlets the life of his spouse is at critical point.
The wife of Mr. Kebudwend the founder of Kurdistan’s Human Rights Organization said within the five years he has spent in prison, he has not been freed for a single moment. Kebudwend has also been deprived of family visits for the last two years, she added.
As it was previously reported Kebudwend suffers from prostate. Although the prison’s medical doctors had warned about his poor health, their calls have gone unheeded.
In a letter written in 15 May Sediq Kebudwend requested from the prison officials a permission to visit his ill child, but he was turned down. He launched a hunger strike in the hope of gaining the permission to visit his child.
Sediq Kebudwend was tried in 2008 and sentenced to 11 years for establishing Kurdistan Human Rights Organization and charged with acting against national security.
