NEWSDESK, — People’s Defense forces Press Office (HPG-BIM) announced that six military personnel were killed following two separate attacks carried out by their guerrillas during the operations Turkish army launched in the areas of Colemerg and Dersim.
HPG statement remarked that their guerrillas in the rural areas of Dersim targeted Turkish militaries joining the operation started on 8 May in the region. Two soldiers died and two others were wounded in the attack, noted the statement.
The HPG-BIM statement pointed out that the area was attacked by cobra type helicopters after the guerrilla action and that the operation still continues with the participation of secret units and the support of intense military build-up in most of the posts in the region.
HPG-BIM also gave information about another guerrilla action in Colemerg rural areas on the same day. Four specialist sergeants were killed and three soldiers wounded in this action.
