AHWAZ, Iran, — Heavy verdicts were giving to six Arab political prisoners by the Revolutionary Court, Ahwaz human right activists reported.
The prisoners named as Teha Heyderan, Abbas Heyderyan, Naser Heyderyan and Eli Sherifi are aged from 18, 24, 21 to 25 respectively.
They are all from Melashye district in Ahwaz city of south Iran. According to the reports some of them were sentenced to death and others to long imprisonments. However, it has not verified yet who were sentenced to death.
It is being reported that two others named as Amir Mehaweni and Abbas were sentenced to 56 year imprisonments.
Many people especially the national groups such as Kurds, Arab, Baluch and Azeri are executed each year based on fabricated charges, including the moharebe (enmity with God).
About two weeks ago the Iranian regime was warned by the Amnesty International regarding the possible execution of five Arab political prisoners from the same city.
