AMED, — High Criminal Court of Amed city, Kurdistan’s capital, prohibited the banners and posters hanged on city walls for the Newroz celebrations to start on 18 March in the city.
The prohibition on banners was put on the grounds that the slogan ‘An azadî, an azadî’, (Either Freedom or Freedom) written on the leaflets is adopted by Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK)’s.
The court also claimed that the logo of three matchsticks on banners ‘spread propaganda for the PKK’.
