Hunger strike launched in Koln

komplo1KOLN, Germany, — A group of 50 people have started a six day hunger strike in the German city of Koln joining over four thousand people from some 150 organizations fasting in almost all European countries, to protest against the isolation of Kurdish national leader Abdullah Ocalan.

The hunger strikers are fasting in a tent in Rudolfplatz. They will also visit civil society organizations and political parties to present their demands. Seminars, music performances and film views will be performed in the tent where the hunger strike is taking place. 

Another group in the Australian city of Melbourne has also gone on a one week alternate hunger strike which is also supported by Kurdish institutions, women and youth unions in Melbourne and Kurdish sport club.
