ZAHEDAN, — In the run up to the parliamentary election, the Iranian government minimized execution. Not long after the election, on yesterday, they executed eight people in Zahedan.
According to the human right activists, six males and two females were executed in Zahedan prison yesterday. Among the victims are two Afghan citizens. They were charged in association with drugs.
It’s reported that the families of the victims have been demanded to pay for the ropes used in gallows or they will not be allowed to receive their bodies.
This case increases the execution toll for 2012, to 63 people.
