Continuous pressure on activists

vakil-iranIRAN, — High pressure on the civil, religious, political activists and journalists has been reported in Iran. Many of them arrested arbitrarily and incarcerated without trial.

A journalist named Masood Bastani, who was arrested during the Iranian elections of 2009, is now in a critical condition and was transferred to hospital but has been sent back to prison again. This is while he was only sentenced to 6 months imprisonment.

Another person named Adel Fenanian from Simnan, who is a follower of the religious minority of Baha’i, has been sentenced to 6 years imprisonment charged with threatening the country’s security.

Keiwan Samimi is a journalist who was sentenced to 6 years incarceration and despite his health condition is critical he is not allowed to be seen by a doctor.

Misaq Yezdanpenah is also a prisoner in the Rajaee Shahr prison and although he permitted by the persecutor to be transferred to hospital, but he has not yet and his health condition is deteriorated.
