Turkish soldiers open fire on houses

asker_helikopterCOLEMERG, — Clashes between Kurdish guerrillas and Turkish soldiers broke out on Thursday in Cele district of Colemerg.

According to the reports the Turkish soldiers started shooting in Yeni Mahalle and Emir Şaban neighbourhoods. While three rockets hit the houses, many houses in the neighbourhoods have also been raked through. 

According to the local correspondents the clash broke out when a guerrilla unit targeted a military stronghold.  Following the clashes, houses in the mentioned neighbourhoods were targeted with rockets and bullets. 

Although no injuries have been reported the Colemerg governor Muammer Turker claimed that four guerrillas lost their lives. However, district residents remarked that nobody has been brought to hospital so far. 

According to ANF, an air supported military operation was carried out by Turkish soldiers late on Wednesday evening in the area of Kos and Karev regions. A clash broke out between soldiers and a group of guerrillas who were reportedly surrounded by hundreds of soldiers and special operation teams. Nine guerrillas have lost their lives, two wounded and one captured alive, according to allegations. 

While some guerrillas allegedly have killed themselves rather of being captured alive during the clash, two wounded HPG members were reportedly taken to Bingol State Hospital. The air supported military operation in the region is reported to continue. 

In a statement about the subject, Bingol Governorship claimed that nine people had died and three others wounded as a result of an operation in a house in Ilica town. While the statement didn’t mention any clashes or give details about the event, HPG hasn’t made a statement yet.
