Bayik: War will spread from mountain to cities and metropolitans

cemil_bayik7DEFENCE REGIONS OF MEDYA, — Cemil Bayik a member of Executive Council of Kurdistan Communities Union (KCK) made significant statements in relation to the current and upcoming events in Turkey and North Kurdistan.

In relation to the future steps Bayik stated; “Above all things, the Kurdish Freedom Movement has given a great struggle and for the last seven months in political, military and ideological areas. It could have been unable to achieve all its goals but the political achievement definitely belongs to itself. Despite the fact that AKP used all state opportunities at 12 June elections, BDP was most successful party and the Kurdish democratic movement was the winning side of the elections. The allegation that AKP receives more votes than BDP in Kurdistan is the distortion of the reality by the psychological warfare. This false information aims to give the message that ‘BDP doesn’t represent Kurds’.”

In regard to the resistance of Kurdish Bayik said; “As the Turkish state didn’t give a positive response to Leader Apo and our movement’s attempts to solve the problem through the way of democratic politics, the Kurdish Freedom Movement said a ‘stop’ to the AKP’s policies for delaying, deceiving and eliminating in the course of time.”

“On the other hand,” added Bayik and continued, “AKP was defeated in the ideological area as well, it has showed its true colors. Even the circles at AKP’S side criticize it today for following authoritarian policies and becoming a united whole with the system. AKP is now resorting to nationalist discourses as it is weakening more and more now. It is attacking the Kurdish democratic movement so much and so angrily because of the fact that it will fall from popular esteem when a libertarian and democratic alternative is created.

Bayik continued saying that the Roboski massacre was the evidence of the dimensions that the war conducted by the Turkish state has reached. Bayik said the followings; “Each way and method is seen as fair now for the purpose of eliminating the Kurdish Freedom Movement. The unlawfulness, judiciary fascism and judiciary terror in the current process are conducted in an intensiveness more than ever. People are obviously being killed under the guise of ‘an accident’. The single purpose of Roboski massacre was to intimidate the people.”

Stating that neither clashes in military area nor the democratic political struggle has ended in the winter process, Bayik added; “A serious war has been lived in the political process of last six months. The people have always been active; they have many times displayed their power for democratic struggle. AKP clearly says that it will ‘eliminate the Kurdish movement and continue the war in this way till the end’. We in this case can’t be expected to do anything else other than to develop a revolutionary move and to conduct a revolutionary resistance and war. In a recent meeting held in this process of intense ideological, political and military attacks, PKK Party Council decided to widen resistance to let down the policies of the AKP government. There is obviously no other choice except for resisting in an environment where thousands of politicians are held under arrest, an intimidation policy is followed against Ocalan, and the AKP doesn’t have a project for a solution to the Kurdish problem while it clearly says that it won’t agree to the demand for democratic autonomy.”

Bayik also noted that the anniversary of 15 February will this year witness the development of a resistance focused on Imrali and ended with the followings; “The war will spread to all areas, from the mountain to cities and metropolitans. Kurdish Freedom Movement will target the state’s military powers, police and counter-guerrilla powers as well as the administrative and political powers standing at the center of this war. The war will continue differently from the previous period.”
