KARAJ, Iran, — Kurdish political prisoners on death row Luqman and Zanyar Muradi sent a letter to United Nations’ Human Rights’ observer in Iran, Ahmad Shahid, pointing to their conditions.
Luqman and Zanyar say in the letter, “This is the grief-letter of two Kurdish innocent youths Zanyar Muradi (25 year-old) and Luqman Muradi (28 year-old). It has been a year that we are held in Rajaeeshar prison and sentenced to death in the public based on fabricated charges”.
The two prisoners point to the torture they have been subjected to while held in detention remarking, “Under unbearable torture we were forced to accept a charge we had no any idea of.”
Zanyar and Luqman call on the human right institutions to save them from execution. They also call for rehearing court, attended by lawyers.
