Kurds across Europe protest Ocalan isolation

protest_PJAK_flagEUROPE, — To protest against the isolation of Kurdish national leader Abdullah Ocalan, Kurdish people staged protests across Europe on yesterday.

Kurds wanted to expose the strict isolation Ocalan who has been denied lawyers visit for the last five months as well as the political operation going on in Turkey bringing thousands of Kurdish politicians, human rights activists, academics, civil society organization members behind bars.

The protests were staged in Switzerland, France, England, Italy, Holland and Germany. The form of protest chosen by Kurds in these actions was the occupation of media offices or political buildings.

Women occupied the Parliament of the local Canton in Basel.

A group of young Kurds occupied the local council in Marseilles.

Kurdish protestors occupied the television building in Paris.  

In Arnhem, Holland another action took place at the local parliament while in London Kurds occupied Channel4 building.

In Italy the action was staged in the Vatican.
