NAVARRA, — The Basque Parliament of Navarra has voted a motion in support and solidarity with the KCK (Kurdish Communities Union) defendants currently in prison in Turkey, ANF reports.
The motion was presented by the Parliamentary groups Bildu-Navarra and Navarra-Bai.
In favour of the declaration have voted the representatives of Bildu-Navarr, SN, NaBai and I-E, the Popular Party has voted against the motion while the representative of the UPN has abstained.
The motion show support and solidarity to the people involved in the KCK trial and the Kurdish people in general and reject the criminalization of those who disagrees with the neo-fascist project of the AKP.
The Parliament of Navarre agrees to track the development of KCK trial with intent to collaborate in the work of international delegations in the active defense of human rights.
The Parliament of Navarra will ask the Government of Spain, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to bring this statement to the competent institutions in Turkey and to urge Turkey to reconsider the treatment they reserve to the Kurdish population
