YEZD, Iran, — According to local sources, nine Kurdish prisoners have gone on hunger strike in Yezd prison.
The prisoners have begun an open – ended hunger strike to protest against the humiliation and discriminations aggressively imposed on them by the prison’s officials.
The prisoners’ names are as follows:
Xales Zemani, Ebdulsaleh Hosmani, Ebdulrahman Cengeli, Eli Salehi, Omer Emami, Muhammad Moradi, Hani Babi, Rustem Arkiya and Wali Derodi.
It’s stated that Kurdish prisoners in the Yezd prison are systematically tortured by the prison officers. They are also transferred to the section of the prison where most drug addicts are held.
