HPG: October another month of war

8-martBADINAN, — The HPG Press Communication Centre released a statement outlying the numbers of clashes broke out between their forces and the Turkish military in October.

Pointing to the state’s escalation of violence in Kurdistan the statement said: “Isolation against our leader, police and juridical terror against our people’s rightful demands as well as vicious attacks against our guerrilla forces have continued without interruptions. The psychological warfare implemented through press and media by the special warfare department has become so degenerate and lowly that it tramples all over human and moral values”.

According to the statement the guerrillas have carried out 52 different actions in October in which 166 Turkish troops, 22 policemen and 3 village guards have been killed. 15 military vehicles have been destroyed and 11 damaged. The number of air raids carried out by the Turkish army rose to 43.

The HPG underlined that the Turkish Forces “have murdered 36 heroic guerrillas of the Kurdish people by napalm bombs and chemical gases. In addition they have continued to organize lynching and attempts of massacres against our people thus showing their aggression. They have at the same time have not held back in imposing isolation, torture and blackmail against our leader APO making use of ugliest of all lies”.

The total losses for the guerrillas in the month of October have been of 66 men and women.
