MAZENDERAN, – The religious practice of gender segregation at the Iranian universities was responded with the student protests.
Students of the Mazenderan University gathered in the university yard and expressed their anger regarding this practice, Daneshjo News reported.
They alleged that students are already suffering from the shortage of facilities, work-shops and rooms, by separation of the lectures they will suffer more.
They have also asserted that locating securities in the university to be in charge of ‘socializing males and females’ is a ‘disgrace’ and ‘insult’ to the university students.
The securities in and outside university wear civilian clothes and try to control the students not letting them to meet one another.
