NORTH KURDISTAN, — A Kurdish pregnant woman with her 6 year old daughter was killed in Batman following the clash between police and HPG guerrillas on last night.
Eyewitnesses have confirmed to DIHA reporters that the police opened fire at random hitting the car in which Mizgin Doru and her family were travelling.
The young pregnant mother and one daughter died on the spot, while two other children and the woman’s husband wounded.
In the clash, three guerrillas also lost their life.
According to Firat News Agency a deputy police chief, Adem lkılıç, who was seriously wounded in the same clash in Batman, died in the hospital early this morning.
In the meantime, two explosions occurred in Hakkari this morning.
According to allegation, Şemdinli local governor distributed weapons to 80 new village guards (pro-state local militias) who have been held responsible for numerous violations of human rights.
Another armed clash in Siirt was reported this morning. The clash broke up late on Tuesday night and involved HPG guerrillas and soldiers in Eynberan Village. There is no information about casualties.
