Hunger strike for Ocalan in Stuttgart

Ocalana-komsu-geliyorSTUTTHART, Germany, — A hunger strike has been staged since September 21 in Stuttgart city to protest the isolation of Kurdish national leader Abdullah Ocalan in Imrali prison.

Upon a call from the Kurdish Culture Association, 16 people started a hunger strike three days ago in a tent at Stauffenbergerplatz city centre.

Demonstrators are supported by the Kurdish people living in Heilbronn, Reutlingen and Esslingen cities.

The protest also informs the public about the situation of Ocalan who has been isolated from the outside world since July 27.

The hunger strike will end with a march and meeting at 14.00 on Saturday which will start at Lautenlager str. next to the Stuttgart Hauptbahnhof.
