Iran resumed shelling South Kurdistan

cannon_IranQENDIL, — Despite the unilateral ceasefire declared by the Free Life Party of Kurdistan (PJAK) and its endeavor to solve the Kurdish issue in a democratic way, the Iranian artilleries have resumed shelling of South Kurdistan.

According to our local correspondents the village of Serkani in the areas of Qesre was hit by 8 cannon balls and two civilians named Nesrin Mine Heme and Mistefa Qader were wounded.

The shelling resumed on yesterday caused huge suffering to the livestock and the pastoral lives of the locals.

It should be noted that the Iranian Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) launched its offensives on 16 July and 2 September. Every efforts of the IRGC to occupy south Kurdistan were repulsed by PJAK guerrillas and the IRGC suffered heavy losses.

Upon a call from Iran and with the mediation of Kurdish Regional Government and the KCK (Democratic Confederation of Kurdistan), PJAK declared a ceasefire on 5 September.

From its emergence in 2004 PJAK has always been ready to solve the Kurdish issue by democratic means. Yet the Islamic Regime of Iran is constantly applied force to deal with the democratic demands of the Kurds and other Iranian nations.
