QENDIL, — Iranian Revolution Guard Corps aided by the local collaborators carried an offensive on the positions of Kurdish guerrillas this morning which were met with the resistance Kurdish freedom fighters of HRK (East Kurdistan Forces).
According to the local sources the Iranian forces carried out an attack at round 4:00 a.m. on Casus Hill, controlled by guerrillas at the boundary line.
Although the Iranian forces were aided by heavy weaponries but they were forced to retreat only after 3 hours of clashes.
6 Iranian Revolution Guards are reported dead and many injured, the number of causalities is expected to increase as clashes still continue.
Reports also inform about the ongoing intense artillery shootings of the Iranian regime on the villages of Qendil.
Intending to break the guerrilla resistance with cross-border operations for the last 11 days, the Iranian Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has suffered heavy losses by being repulsed in each attempt.
Eight members of Revolutionary Guards were killed and six were injured in the clash on Monday evening between HRK guerrillas and Iranian revolutionary guards in Berdenaze region.
According to HRK, more than 255 Revolution Guards have been killed since the beginning of the operation, including three generals and eight senior commanders. The number of causalities on the guerrilla side is reported as eight.
In the meantime, attacks of the Iranian Revolution Guards Corps continue uninterrupted in Qendil, Xinere and Xakurke villages.
