Iranian operation continues against PJAK

pasdar_-_katoshaEAST KURDISTAN, — The Iranian Revolution Guards Corps has expanded its operations along the border line and has received heavy blows as a result.

A military station between Serdasht and Mahabad was demolished on yesterday by the guerrillas of HRK the armed wing of the Free Life Party of Kurdistan (PJAK).

According to HRK sources, their guerrilla forces carried out a responsive attack on the Zimzara military garrison on July 23. While the garrison was demolished completely, 25 Iranian Revolution Guards were reported to have been killed.

The operation and military build-up of the Iranian Revolution Guards Corps have continued since July 16. At least 5 villagers were injured in the Iranian bombardment, and eight guerrillas lost their lives.

Iranian Revolution Guards Corps is reported to have a loss of 150-180 militaries so far, including three generals and 10 high ranking commanders.
