DUBLIN, Ireland, — Kurds in Dublin entered second day of hunger strike demanding revocation of Lausanne Treaty and the full recognition of Kurdish rights including self-determination.
On 88th anniversary of Lausanne Treaty which divided Kurdistan into four parts, Kurds in Ireland launched a hunger strike outside European Union House yesterday demanding its revocation.
In their press release they have listed their demands as follow:
- Revocation of Lausanne Treaty or its replacement by another pact where the rights of Kurds are recognised.
- Recognition of the rights of Kurds to self-determination.
- While Middle East is going through changes EU should help to find a democratic solution to the Kurdish issue.
