Clashes continue in South Kurdistan

gerilla-womanDOLE KOKE, — Clashes between the Iranian Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) and the guerrillas of East Kurdistan Forces (HRK) are continuing o Sunday in Dole Koke region.

The clashes broke out yesterday as the Iranian forces infiltrated into the South of Kurdistan and were encountered by HRK’s guerrillas.

Yesterday it was reported that 21 Iranian Revolution Guards killed in the clashes and today it has been confirmed that at least 43 militaries have been wounded.

HRK is the armed wing of Free Life Party of Kurdistan (PJAK) and holds the right of self-defence once the Kurdish territory is attacked by the occupying powers of Kurdistan.

Iran had threatened on Monday to take military action against the Kurdish authority of South Kurdistan, accusing them of giving PJAK a plot of land in their soil.

Such a claim was rejected by both Kurdish authority of South Kurdistan and the PJAK.
