URMIYE, — Cemal Alizade a Kurdish political prisoner held in Urmiye Detention staged a hunger strike, HRA – Human Right News Agency reported.
According to Mukrian News Mr Alizade is from the city of Piranshar and has been held in Urmiye Detention for the last five months.
Mr Alizade staged a hunger strike to protest against the failure of prison’s officials to respond to his demand of transferring him to Neghede prison.
Cemal Alizade is charged with working with one of the Kurdish political organisation, and sentenced to 15 month imprisonments.
