Painful lament behind death of 19 year-old son

gerila_motherDIYARBAKIR – People’s Defense Forces’ (HPG) 19-year-old member Mazlum Erenci lost his life during an armed clash that erupted in the countryside of Çemişgezek in Dersim, during the Turkish Military Forces’ (TSK) operation on June 29. Thousands paid their respects to him on July 2 in Diyarbakir, DIHA reported.

Erenci was one of victims of Turkish Penal Code (TMK) as a stone thrower child. Police detained him and tortured during his custody. He was only 16-year-old. Then judicial system kept him behind of bars for nine and a half months. He chosen to take part in armed struggle and left his home right after being released. The HPG sent him back since he was very young. He had one more attempt to participate the HPG. Finally, the HPG accept him as a member after his third attempt. It was not too long when he lost his life in the mountains where he was looking for justice.

Now, his mother, Remziye Erenci, who has never forgotten this lost rest of her life, put her pain aside to make very meaningful call on whole society for peace. The mother, who is trying to hide tears when she speaks to DİHA reporter, is telling authorities that her son should be the last one who died because of this unfair war
