Hunger strike enters its 36th days

zendani.eatesabIRAN, — Hunger strike staged by Kurdish political prisoners held in Minab and Rajaishahr Detentions have been sustained and the reports are point out to the serious health conditions of these detainees.

Kemal Sherifi a Kurdish journalist and political activist held in Minab Detention has been on hunger strike for the last 36 days.

In an interview with HRA News Agency the brother of Kemal stated that his brother was arrested in 2008 and since then they have visited him only one time when he was held in the Office of Intelligent Service.

Kurdish political activist and journalist, Kemal Sherifi was tried in show trial on 2008 and charged with acting against the Islamic Republic of Iran. He was sentenced to 30 years imprisonment of which he has served 3 years.

In the meantime Enwer Xizri who is held in Rajaishahr Detention has been on hunger strike for the last 33 days. He is demanding to be accommodated with the section of political prisoners not to be kept with criminal prisoners.

Enwer Xizri, Kamran Shexi and Seyd Ibrahim Seydi staged the hunger strike 33 days ago. Kamran Shexi and Seyd Ibrahim Seydi were fallen uncurious and thus taken to hospital were they were injected with serum and hence ended hunger strike.

Enwer Xizri is still sustaining his hunger strike.
