Turkish police raids house of BDP executives

ADANA, — Turkish Police have raided houses of Kurdish politicians and detained six Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) executives in Ceyhan, a central district of Adana, in the early hours of this morning.

The executives Tahir Özdemir, Erdal Aydemir, Cahide Dorak, Murat Erki, Fadıl Aydemir and Mustafa Akbaba were taken to the Ceyhan Police Department allegedly ‘producing propaganda for an illegal organization.”

In addition, Patnos Police Department launched a series of house raids and arrested three BDP executives; BDP Patnos Branch Chair Bekir Acar, BDP executive Munir Kartal and City Council Member Abdullah İşli, in the early hours of the morning.

Besides these detentions, police raided many BDP members and managers’ houses in Çakırbey Village, in Patnos, a district of Ağrı.
