SHAHO, — Iranian Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) had initiated a range of military operations in the Chain Mountains of Shaho in East Kurdistan, which brought them face to face with the Kurdish guerrillas of East Kurdistan Forces (HRK).
IRGC’s operations were encountered by HRK’s guerrillas on Thursday 9th June. As a result confrontation a number of local collaborators and mercenaries were killed.
After the combat, the Iranian force heavily shelled the regions, inflicting a considerable level of damage to the natural life of the region.
Iranian artilleries continued to bomb the regions of Xirole and Mishyawi until Friday evening.
Fresh military reinforcement and live ammunitions are reported to have been dispatched to the regions which herald the initiation of large scale operations.
HRK is the armed wing of Free Life Party of Kurdistan (PJAK) established in 2004 as a result of the oppression and denial of Kurdish people by the Iranian totalitarian regime.
It should be noted that PJAK has not made any public statement in regard to this confrontation.
