Syria: 60 people killed in anti-Assad protest

syriaHAMA, Syria, — According to human rights activists, Syrian security forces killed 60 people in anti-regime protest held on Friday in Hama.

Thousands of people poured into the streets after the Friday prayers and were faced with the open fires of the security forces, the report said.

Numbers of the dead and injured is not confirmed by independent source, but according to human right activists 60 people were killed and over tens wounded.

This was the most fatal protests from the beginning of the mass uprising in this country.

The city of Hama had witnessed protest three decades ago which was brutally suppressed by Hafez Assad.
