CAPE TOWN, South Africa, — Struggle Veterans Action Committee (SVAC) nominated the long imprisoned Kurdish national leader Abdullah Ocalan for the first International Peace Award at a prestigious event held in Cape Town/ South Africa, ANF report said.
The founding members of The Kurdish Human Right Action Group (KHRAG) Justice Essa Moosa, received the International Peace Award on behalf of Mr Ocalan.
The founding members of KHRAG are among others, E.Moosa,(Human Rights Lawyer), P.Ncube, (Professor), Sheikh S. Khan, (Muslim Religious Leader), Imam G. Solomon, (Member of the South African Parliament), T. Booley, (Human Rights Activist), Y. Slabbert, (Activist Lawyer), L. Podlashuc, (Professor), P Dexter, (SACP Member of Parliament).
