Turkish Army bombed Xakurk, Haftanin and Zap

070610063718KURDISTAN, — Kurdish Defence Forces (HPG) released a statement in regard to the continuous bombardments of Kurdistan by Turkish Army.

HPG claimed that Turkish Army bombed three locations in the Defence Regions of Medya (DRM).

According to HPG’s statement, the Turkish Army shelled the regions of Zap in 4th and 5th December.

The region of Xakurk came under heavy mortar shell of the Turkish army on Sunday. The statement also said that Bitmala Vally and Nirya Hill in Heftanin were the target of Turkish mortar attacks.

HPG also denounced the manipulation of the news by Turkish press and rejected any relation of its troops with blackmailing of people as fabricated by the Turkish media.

The Turkish press fabricated the news that the HPG’s members blackmailed Turkish people in Istanbul and Izmir.

HPG strongly denounced such fabrication and claimed that the Kurdish resistance movement and its moral standards would allow such acts.

HPG is the military wing of Kurdistan Worker Party (PKK) founded in 1973 as the result of the continuous and systematic oppressions and the denial of the Kurdish nation by the occupying powers of Kurdistan.
