Two Yarsan activists arrested in Iran

dastban00SEHENE, East Kurdistan, — The local people of Kermanshah and Sehene city gathered to celebrate the anniversary of the Said Xelil Alinejad, an important figure in the religion of Yarsan, but the  congregation was held under intense surveillance of the Iranian Intelligence Agents, report said on Sunday.

The human right activists of the Yarsan people, Xeyrullah Heqcuyan and Huccet Zinuryan who made speeches in the congregation were arrested following the event.

Their families raised their concern and have no news about their whereabouts.

Different religious views are not tolerated in Iran and in most of the case are regarded as infidelities and religious groups including Yarsan people are subjected to mistreatment and humiliation.
