Iran banned the use of Kurdish language in schools

IRAN, — According to Firat News Agency the Iranian government banned the use of Kurdish language in all schools in city of Saqiz in East Kurdistan.

Director of Education in Saqiz, Muzaafer Rostemi sent a written order to all schools in the city stating that the use of Kurdish language in schools is prohibited.

The order says all teachers and education personnel have to use Persian in classes and daily life.

Iran became the second country in the world which bans use of Kurdish language in its education system.
