Kurdistan People’s Initiative called for protests

scontriKURDISTAN, — Kurdish national leader Abdullah Ocalan had to leave Syria in October 1998 as the result of enormous pressure from the Syrian officials. He was abducted five month later after his departure and handed over to the Turkish military state.

Kurdistan People’s Initiative called Kurds to protest to mark the anniversary of Ocalan’s expulsion from Syria.

The initiative’s statement called all shop-owners to close their shops, all students to boycott he schools and all Kurds to organize protest demonstrations for a week starting from today.
