Iran coerces the Kurds to support the regime

EASTERN KURDISTAN, – Iran, — The Iranian regime coerces the Kurdish people to align themselves with the government and stand against any activities of the Free Life Party of Kurdistan (PJAK).

The government needs the support and collaboration of the local people for two reasons: firstly, their supporters and local collaborators can punish those who are challenging the government, and secondly, the regime can indirectly hinders the social, political and human right activists, and members of parties such as PJAK, the most influential party in Eastern Kurdistan.

For achieving this goal, the Iranian authorities have deprived the Kurdish regions and have made them economically dependent on the central government, and then offer the people employment under the condition of collaborating with the central government.

In spite of the fact that Kurdistan has rich mineral, oil and gas resources, there are not factories for the people to work in and people suffer from poverty.

On the one hand the Iranian authorities coerce the Kurds to be government’s supporters and local collaborators, so that they will gain enough money for their living and they have more advantages than those who are not government’s supporters. On the other hand, the people who do not follow regime’s requests are under pressure from many ways.

Accordingly, Iranian despotic regime has appointed one of their supporters in every province of Eastern Kurdistan. For that reason, they have appointed these people named below:

• Khzri in Mahabad and Soran province who is from the Mangoran tribe

• Mansor in Herkyan province which includes Targaver and Mergever

• Haji Mastafa known as Haji Msto in Soma Bradost province

• Haji Haref in Shapour province

These people are responsible for coerce the people who are against regime. They inform government for the very basic activity carried out against the regime.
