The Defence Regions of Medya- Qendil Mountains: Most villages of Qendil region have been harshly shelled by Iranian artillery over again. Today is 25 days that Kurdistan is still under the heavy bombardments of Iranian military regime.
In spite of strict joint denunciations from KCK (Kurdistan Democratic Confederation), the south of Kurdistan (Kurdistan regional government) and Foreign Ministry of Iraq, Iranian regime is constant on bombardments. This is while the bombardments are in violation of all United Nation’s laws.
This shelling is relentless and destroyed almost all villages around Qendil Mountains. Accordingly, a 14 year old girl named Basoz Cabar was killed and some civilians have badly injured. It has also damaged the vegetation and the animal lives of the regions.
People from these areas and villages have abandoned their homes and this is while all of them are farmers and their lives depend on their animals and farms. Yet, they are determined in staying in the region as these farms are the mere incomes for them. They have continuously requesting the south of Kurdistan presidency and Iraq’s government in condemning Iran to end this harsh situation.
