Turkish Police attacked Kurdish peaceful march

Silopi- Northern Kurdistan: The Kurdish Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) organised a peaceful demonstration that was brutally attacked by Turkish police. According to the reports MP Sevahir Bayındır has been seriously injured as the result of attack. The police used gas bombs, water cannons, and heavily baton on ten thousands people who turned out on the streets of Silopi.

 

BDP MPs Sevahir Bayındır, Hasip Kaplan ve Hamit Geylani were among dozens of BDP politicians at the march. People were chanting slogans against recent executions in Iran, and against the ongoing military operations against the Kurdish resistance movement spearheaded by Kurdistan Worker Party (PKK).

MP Sevahir Bayındır has been taken to Silopi hospital and her conditions are said to be serious. According to local sources the police attacks are still going on.
