Iraq’s future in hands of US, Iran, and Arabian States

Hewlir- Southern Kurdistan: The Kurdish well known law maker Mahmoud Osman said on Wednesday 26th May that Iraq’s future has fallen in the hands of the U.S., Iran, and Arab countries.

“The United States has become the number one player within the Iraqi arena through its embassy in Baghdad, especially when it comes to issues related to the formation of the new Iraqi government,” Osman told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.

He noted that Iran and Arab countries occupy the second and third positions after the U.S. in this regard. “Iraqi political blocs are not flexible and give no concessions during negotiations, a matter that allows the U.S., Iran, and Arab states to intervene in Iraq’s internal issues,” Osman added.

He stressed that U.S. solutions to Iraqi problems are to preserve U.S. interests in Iraq
