Kurdistan under Intensive Shelling of Iranian Artilleries

The Iranian army bombed the Sidekan district on the South Kurdistan border for 11 hours yesterday.

According to information from local sources, the Iranian artilleries have been shelling the villages of Sidekan, Bêrkim, Lolan, Xinêre, Seroke and Nisîn for last one week. The bombing have forcing the people in the region to flee their homes and take shelter in refuges.

The Pişder and Sidekan regions have been under heavy bombing for the last one week. Berkim, Mergemir, Bin Qulat and Sinine regions had also been bombed in the afternoon of May 16th.

As a result of the bombing on the villages of Rezger, Mereduve and Şinave on May 15th, a 53 year-old woman from Meredu was heavily injured.
