Keresu: AKP’s efforts for constitutional changes are for more power

The Defence Regions of Medya- the member of the leading counsel of the Kurdistan Con-federal System (KCK) Mustefa Keresu in a formal statement claimed that AKP is seeking more power by the constitutional change. He stated that AKP by proposing changes to the constitutional it seeks to gain more power for itself.

“We regard the AKP’s efforts as of pretentious character that we cannot support. AKP’s projects are not for democratisation but for the fortification of its power. They want to change a tiny part of it to make rooms for public deception. The AKP has gained more power since the last 8 years. Keresu said”

The leading member of the KCK’s Counsel Mustefe Keresu reminded the statement of Cemik Cicik which says “there are five articles that we cannot change” and he respectively stated; these five articles are in fact the bases for the political domination of the Turks over the Kurds.

Keresu stated that AKP has no any potential for possible democratisation. AKP has thwarted the Kurdish political representatives. If the Kurds don’t have representative in the parliament how the Kurdish issue would be settled? A government who does not allow the Kurds to be included in the democratic procedures, would be able to provide the packet for the democratisation of the constitution?

Keresu pointed out to the hypocrisy of the AKP and stated that the point is to prevent the closure of the democratic parties. They should remove the articles that would allow the closure of the parties from the constitution
